CDHA will no longer provide free advertising or screen calls on animals that are not in the legal custody of CDHA.

If you need help finding an animal a new home, please contact us at (518) 664-1237.  Providing an animal is placeable in terms of age, physical condition and temperament, CDHA would be glad to consider your pet for our adoption program (if space is available at that time).  You may also be invited to showcase your pet at our adoption clinics under the guidelines established by CDHA.

Capital District Humane finds homes for animals of all kinds.  Our intention is to assist animals in any way we are able and to also assist conscientious owners who are no longer able to care for their pets.

"Brother" and "Little Brother"

Brother and Little Brother are kids we saved from being sold for meat. Currently they're being bottle fed, but once they're old enough to eat on their own we'd like to find loving, permanent homes for them with people who know and love goats. These boys must be placed together!

Goats are fun pets and little trouble to keep, but good fencing is mandatory. They have the life span of a dog, approx. 12 to 13 years, so we're looking for someone who is willing to commit to giving Brother and Little Brother a life-long home.
